BIAS SCORE

When you tell the system to score your entry, you will have to wait a few seconds without seeing anything. During that time it will look like nothing is happening, but do not fear! It is! Depending on your screen size, you may have to scroll down to see the results. So try it! You will like it!

If you are reaching this page from a link that was sent to you, then you are invited to participate in a project to ascertain whether we can truly develop a tool to analyze print media news reports and determine whether the author is demonstrating a bias. We don’t care about the direction of the bias just whether is shows bias or not.

As indicated above, this is a project and the interface is very basic and not meant for public distribution but the mechanics of the site are working and we would love for you to input either:

  1. Copy and paste the URL of the story that you would like analyzed for bias
  2. Enter the author of the article and the news outlet/publication for an analysis of the author’s work at that publication
  3. Enter the name of the news outlet for an analysis of the historical bias of the news organization

We welcome your feedback on the content of the results from the analysis of any or your entries. If you have any suggestions about the layout or terminology used on the website, please let us know understanding that you are not looking at the final product.

Thank you for participating!
